He begins a 3-year term of office, succeeding Guy Mamou-Mani, who has been at the helm of the professional chamber since 2010. Godefroy de Bentzmann, 58, is co-founder of Devoteam. He is currently Co-Chairman of the Group’s Management Board.
After graduating from INSEEC in 1982, he began his career with the Benett Pump Group in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Before setting up Devoteam, he held various sales positions at IBM (1985 to 1990), then became Sales Director of DE3I, a joint venture between IBM and Dassault Electronique (1991-1995).
At the end of 1995, taking advantage of changes in the telecoms world with the deregulation of the French market and the IP technology revolution, he founded Devoteam with his brother Stanislas de Bentzmann.
Throughout his career, Godefroy de Bentzmann has also contributed to the development of the digital industry, notably within Syntec Numérique, of which he was a director and vice-president.
Godefroy de Bentzmann, the new head of the professional chamber, wants to make Syntec Numérique the cornerstone of the country’s digital transformation, through three key initiatives:
- Adapt regulations by winning key battles
The President of Syntec Numériqueswants toadjust the social and fiscal frameworkbycalling for the opening of negotiations on working hours, within the framework of the current paritarism, and to relaunch actions to secure the CIR and CICE by the end of the year. It also aims to boostthe transformation of sectors lagging behind bycapitalizing on the momentum in the regions, developing large-scale projects for the public sector, and increasing the maturity and understanding of digital issues among members of parliament.
- More broadly assert the interests of the digital industry
Godefroy de Bentzmann’s ambition isto bring the industry’s voice to major decisions andbodiesbyextending Syntec Numérique’s area of influence, particularly at European level, and by developing and strengthening partnerships with foreign counterparts and DIGITALEUROPE. It also wants to supportthe business of companies in the sectorbycapitalizing on the gains already made, particularly in terms of mediation in difficult cases, and by supporting their internationalization.
- Mobilizing the ecosystem with agility
The development ofa collaborative DNA is at the heart of the new President’s ambitions,and is based on a partnership approach to consolidate Syntec Numérique’s impact, by launching satellite associations, as is already the case withceHealth France®ouPasc@line.Ilalso wishes to increase the visibility of the colleges launched6 years ago, in order to promote their rapidly evolving businesses and challenges.
